Community
Software for organizations that can't afford it.
When we have surplus capacity between commercial engagements, we take on pro-bono builds. No charity angle — just a straightforward offer for organizations doing meaningful work.
The offer
We work free. You cover hosting and domain.
The consulting, implementation, and deployment are at no cost. The ongoing costs you carry are the ones with a recurring bill we can't absorb: hosting, domain registration, third-party APIs, SMS gateways, anything like that.
This is for schools, NGOs, and individuals. Not for registered businesses with revenue — commercial rates apply there.
What's covered
- Consulting and requirements
- Design and implementation
- Deployment setup
- Reasonable maintenance
What's not covered
- Hosting and infrastructure
- Domain registration
- Third-party API costs
- SMS / payment gateway fees
Why we do this
Surplus capacity. Work we find meaningful.
Software development isn't evenly priced relative to what different organizations can pay. A school or NGO running on grants has the same operational problems as a business — tracking attendance, managing records, communicating with stakeholders — but the budget isn't there for a commercial build.
When we have capacity between commercial projects, we'd rather use it on something with genuine impact than leave it idle. That's the whole reasoning.
What happens next
We review applications monthly.
If we have bandwidth and the project is a fit, we reach out. If not, we don't — silence is a no. We can't commit to feedback on every application, but every one gets read.
